DAB-IPDC and Visual Radio for DVB-H and
T-DMB

Visual Radio provides radio service with assisting visual
information. Still images are transferred within the MPEG-4 video
stream at a configurable refresh rate typically every two seconds.
The MPEG-4 audio stream transmits the audio programme as usual. The
still images might contain news, the weather report, or information
about the current music programme. The complete service only
requires very low data rate of about 50kbit/s.

Video 2Depth

Depth estimation is used as basis for the capturing of 3D-scenes.
The trifocal setup gives the opportunity for disparity estimation
with minimum impact on the set.
With two cameras mounted to the left and the right of an electronic
D-cinema camera a sophisticated trifocal stereo matching algorithm
estimates the depth of the complete scene. Results are provided on a
per-pixel basis along with a reliability measure. Related
visualisation tools allow a preview of the results at the set.
Mounting and calibration do not interfere with the established
workflows.

Omnidirectional Camera for Capturing 5K
Video Panoramas

The Omnidirectional Camera system for the live capturing of 5k
video panorama applies multiple HD cameras to capture very
high-resolution videos.
The approach captures with flexible, mirror based rig for up to five
HD cameras with field of view of 150 degrees. Full circle rig for up
to 12 HD cameras with 360 degree capturing capability. The Display
of the captured scene is accomplished by flexible, high-resolution
multi-projection system. It enables an unlimited cascading in both
vertical and horizontal direction. It is based on CineCard PCI-card
which supports up to four projectors per board. The systems has been
developed to provide an immersive feeling of watching the event
on-site .
